The Movie Magic tribute show takes place at the Denny Civic Theatre, Dumbarton on Friday 23rd August 2019 (doors open 7pm) and includes amazing music that has featured on various productions from stage and screen.  Featuring James Smart and Shirley McAlpine who won 3rd place in the live final of BBC1's Pitch Battle in 2017 singing with soul legend Chaka Khan and Royal Conservatoire trained Carrie-Jane Connor.  We are also proud to introduce our exceptionally talented singer/dancers, Isla McAlpine and Amy Wyllie.

Our fantastic Movie Magic tribute show has all the thrills and excitement you’d expect from the stage and big screen. This is no ordinary show…Movie Magic grabs the attention and imagination of the audience from the onset with a spectacular Mission Impossible dance display, followed swiftly by performances of 2 smash hits associated with James Bond - Goldfinger by Shirey Bassey and Writing on the Wall by Sam Smith. From there the audience is transported onto Titanic for a stunning performance of “My Heart Will Go On” followed by energetic audience participation from the Smash hit film “Bohemian Rhapsody” - “We Will Rock You” and Don’t Stop Me Now”. We then visit a land far far away with vocal performances of “Holding Out For A Hero” and “I’m A Believer” from the smash hit film Shrek, before Rocky Balboa makes his big entrance for “Eye of the Tiger”., followed by Bridget Jones with “ I’m Every Woman” and “It’s Raining Men”. The set goes out with a bang, with a medley from Grease and Dirty Dancing… and that’s just the first half!

Our second half kicks off with the eerie, dark and mysterious “Phantom of the Opera”, followed by the Dream Girls bursting on stage with “And I’m Telling You…” and “One Night Only”. The Blues Brothers then swing into town asking “Do You Love Me?” and declaring that “Everybody Needs Somebody”. No Movie Party would be complete without music from one of the biggest bands of all time and performances of “Dancing Queen” and “Mamma Mia” from the hit musical and film. We then pay a visit to one of Rocks biggest ever female vocalists for the Tina Turner Story with “Proud Mary” and “River Deep”, before we head for a makeover with lots of Hairspray and “You Can’t Stop The Beat” in preparation for the grand Finale including mass audience participation for “ The Time Warp” from The Rocky Horror Picture Show…
